Beauty supplier quickly finds “value leaks” on its mobile app and increases CVR

A national US beauty supply chain store uses Quantum Metric on its native mobile app to find “value leaks” and increase CVR.

 

This beauty supply chain is using Quantum Metric on their mobile native app. Over 60% of their customers are uniquely mobile users, i.e. these customers are not cross-channel! 

Quantum Metric’s Opportunities dashboard surfaced an issue for the mobile team related to customers who clicked Place Order but didn’t convert. The issue impacted 19% of visitors who clicked Place Order and was projected to cost the business $250K per year. 

With just a couple clicks from that Opportunity dashboard into the Opportunity Detail page in Quantum Metric, the mobile team could instantly see all the related replays. By watching a few replays, it was easy to see that there was an issue with an unclear CTA at the top and a Place Order button that was exposed prematurely. 

Customers were trying to place an order, but they couldn’t because they hadn’t actually completed a previous required step! After an easy design tweak, the team saw a 9.7% increase in Place Order CVR.
