Felix Copilot Overview
Copilot is Felix beside the Quantum Metric page you're working on. Open it on a dashboard, an Interactions page analysis or a VOC page and ask about what you see.
The page tells Felix what you're looking at, so you don't have to describe the view or rebuild it as a question. Felix receives the details of your view and a summary of the data on screen. What you bring is the question about it: why a number moved, what a card means, which variant did better.
What Copilot is for, and what it isn't for
Use Copilot when:
- you want to know what a dashboard, a card or a page analysis is showing
- you want to know why a number on the page moved
- you want to compare two variants in an Interactions comparison
Use something else when:
- your question isn't about the page in front of you (use Chat)
- you want the same check run on a schedule (use Background Agents)
- you want a report your Quantum Metric team set up, with the same steps every run (use Workflows)
- you want to save the conversation as a Skill, or keep a result as an Artifact (use Chat)
How Copilot works
Copilot is the same conversation engine as Chat, opened in a drawer beside the page. With every message, the page sends Felix details of your view. Depending on the page, these include which kind of page it is, its title and description, and the page URL. They also include the item you selected, the active tab, the date range and the segment applied.
The page's data, a summary of what the view shows, goes to Felix with your first message. If that summary goes stale while the drawer is open, Felix receives a fresh one with your next message. This keeps Felix's answers in step with the view when you change the date range or segment while the drawer is open.
From there, Copilot works as Chat does. Felix runs queries when the page data isn't enough, and shows you the analytics queries it ran, with the data they returned.
Where Copilot appears
Feature | What Felix receives |
|---|---|
Dashboards | The dashboard, and the card, chart, table or KPI you chose to ask about |
Interactions | The page analysis you're viewing or both variants in a comparison |
VOC pages | The page you're on: overview, survey details, topics, feedback, cases or survey health |
Visible | The analysis of the page you're on |
Starter prompts
Each page offers a few starter prompts as chips in the drawer. Select one to send it, or type your own question. For example:
- "Summarize this Dashboard" on a dashboard
- "Which elements show signs of user frustration?" on a page analysis
- "Which topics are growing the fastest, and why?" on a VOC topics page
On a dashboard, start from a card: choose to inspect and ask about a chart, table or KPI, and the drawer opens with that card as the subject.
Work in the drawer
Ask what a card shows, why a number moved, which elements drive frustration or conversions, or what themes run through the feedback. When Felix runs a query, the query and its data appear with the answer.
The drawer has the same message box as Chat:
- Attach files.
- Use Dictate.
- Type "@" to reference a dashboard, funnel, metric, segment, card, workflow or a query you've run before.
- Type / to point Felix at a Skill.
On Visible, the drawer adds a Fit page to view control.
From the drawer's menu you can Copy chat link or Delete conversation.
Getting the best results
- Set the view before you ask. Felix receives your date range and segment with every message, so set them first.
- On a dashboard, ask about one card. The drawer opens with that card as the subject, so the answer is about the number you care about.
- Ask Felix to check the underlying data when the summary isn't enough. It starts from a summary of the view, and runs a query when you ask for more.
Limitations
- Felix starts from a summary of the view, not the full dataset behind it.
- Felix reasons over data that is captured, mapped, retained and permitted.
- On Visible, the drawer has no Dictate and no file attachments.
- Elsewhere, Copilot has the same attachment limits as Chat; see Chat.
- Felix's answers to the same question may differ between runs; when Felix runs a query, check the query and the data shown with the answer.
Getting started
- Open a dashboard you already use.
- On a card, choose to inspect and ask about it. The drawer opens with that card as the subject.
- Ask Felix why its number changed over the date range you're viewing.
